2015 West Coast Top Prospect Showcase
Victor Carlino is a 2016 2B/3B with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Lakeside, CA who attends El Capitan HS. Medium, athletic frame with broad and wide shoulders with room to fill out with additional strength. Ran a 7.48 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, shows athletic actions to the ball and fields it out front, longer strides ranging up the middle and quick charging in, lower slot arm action with efficient release, can throw from multiple arm slot accurately. Left-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and slightly open with a high hand set. Remains short to ball with longer finish through contact, creates line drive contact with comfort to hit to all fields. Occasionally opens front side early, shows ability to hit to pull side consistently, projects with continued incorporation of lower half into swing. Very good student.
