Caleb Cantu is a 2018 OF/IF with a 5-7 140 lb. frame from Flower Mound, TX who attends Flower Mound Marcus HS. Brought energy to the field with his small frame that shows room to mature physically and athletically. Above average speed in the 60 yard sprint recording a 6.92. Performed well in the outfield workouts with a fast first step to the ball, getting his momentum set to the bag, fielding with good footwork and mechanics, showed a quick arm, used his body effectively to allow his throws to carry to the bag. At the plate he stands with his feet slightly wider than shoulder width, has a simple load and stride, short leg lift with internal rotation, creates separation, shows bat speed and good bat path. Great Stance. Good student.
