Brett Hasegawa is a 2006 middle infielder from Iolani HS in Honolulu, HI, with a 5'10", 180 lb. frame. He has a physical build with room for added muscle down the road. Hasegawa is good middle infielder with soft hands and good footwork to stay at the premium position. Offensively he hits from the right side with strength in his swing and the ability to drive the ball to the both gaps. He is short to the ball with good bat speed, and Hasegawa has the hand strength to stay back and wait as long as possible to pull the trigger. He projects to be an early to middle of the line up hitter at the next level. He also showed good pitch recognition and the ability to handle the off speed pitch. He shows athleticism and strength potential to make an impact at the next level. Hasegawa is a must follow, and is a good student as well.
