2016 Northeast Underclass Showcase
Brant Savage is a 2020 SS/3B with a 5-8 135 lb. frame from Charlton, MA who attends St. Johns High School. Very young player with a lean, slender frame, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Primary shortstop, showed developing footwork, funnels to field, lower arm slot, and developing arm strength. At the plate, started with a narrow base, open stance, and utilized a leg lift timing mechanism. Showed an active barrel pre-swing, coils hips well, and they fire well t the ball. Swings with intent to drive the ball with developing timing. Linear plane with an approach that got to all fields. Will continue to improve in the field with additional strength.
