Marcus Jackson is a 2016 3B/RHP with a 6-3 165 lb. frame from Tuscaloosa, AL who attends Northridge HS. Long, lean build with room to add strength, additional muscle mass. Shows ability to move laterally, get into position to make plays in the infield. Still feeling way into lean frame, some stiffness in actions, works through ball well, shows accurate, on-line throws across diamond from compact arm-action. Right handed hitter, crouched setup with slight open stance, sits off backside on swing. Pull-oriented approach with handsy swing, developing feel for barrel. Also pitches, uses leg lift delivery with easy, deliberate pace, works to high 3/4 arm slot from short arm-action. Fastball up to 70 mph, ability to locate pitch, could utilize lower half in his delivery more consistently. Also worked in a breaking ball with slight depth, tilt, and gloveside finish. Very good student.
