Connor Coyle is a 2016 OF/RHP with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Sparta, NJ who attends Sparta. Large, athletic frame with a lean build and good physical projection remaining with room to fill out. Ran a 6.95 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, fields the ball out front and shows projectable actions, clean and easy release with extension out front from a lower slot, present strength with a short arm action in the back and accuracy to the bag. Also pitched, throws from a three-quarter arm slot with a short arm action in the back. Slight hip turn at top of delivery, gets on top and shows ability to work downhill with fastball that topped at 83 mph while locating to either side. Slider is a quality offering with sharp tilt at 75 mph, creates nice angle at release with arm slot. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and a high hand set. Short to the ball with quick hands to it, fluid swing path with contact skills. Gets to front side early at times, shows nice strength and carry off the barrel when squared with ability to use all fields. Named to Sunshine Northeast Top Prospect List.
