Blake Brogdon is a 2018 RHP with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Cypress, TX who attends Cypress Woods HS. Large frame with strength throughout which helps him at his primary position of righthanded pitcher. The fastball worked 83-86 mph and showed very good command of the pitch to both sides of the plate. Maintained velocity well and the fastball showed solid life that got better as the outing went on. Sound and repeatable delivery. Curveball had short, tight break to it and showed sharp downward action. Good student. Verbal commitment to Rice. Named to the 2017 Sunshine South Showcase Top Prospect List.
