Logan Smith is a 2017 LHP with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Munford, AL who attends Munford HS. Young, developing, thin build. Plenty of room to project additional strength as he matures. Primary left handed pitcher, uses aggressive knee lift above belt in high-energy delivery. Late hand break, gets to high 3/4 arm slot. Flashes ability to repeat delivery, can spin off at times and lose timing. Fastball up to 70 mph with some tailing action, showed ability to locate pitch to the armside. Also flashed ability to locate curveball with 1/7 shape, has solid feel for the offering. Will occasionally mix in a changeup. Right handed hitter, extended hand load, longer swing path to the ball. Showed ability to use the entire field, developing feel for the barrel. Very good student.
