Kyle Trusso is a 2018 C/1B/3B with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from La Mesa, CA who attends Grossmont HS. Medium-large frame with strong, sturdy build; body projects yet as well. Ran 60 yard dash in 9.04 seconds. Sets up to hit from narrow-based, slightly open stance; high hand set with upright posture. Rotational swing with small shift into contact, lofted swing path with intent to hit the ball into the air, stays committed to the middle of the field, will go to opposite field when opportunity presents itself, showed solid present contact skills. Low set behind the plate with good flex, receives with two hands, solid footwork out of crouch into throw down mechanics, consistently accurate throws to the bag, popped as low as 2.31 seconds. Good student.
