Andrew Keil is a 2016 LHP with a 6-5 240 lb. frame from Jacksonville, FL who attends Florida Virtual School Full Time. XL frame, broad shoulders and long limbs with good strength throughout body. Ran 60 yard dash in 8.59 seconds. Works exclusively out of the stretch on the mound, stands tall on his backside and gets over the rubber well at balance point, drives downhill online throughout delivery. High leg kick with some deception, hides the ball from the hitter until release. Throws from high three quarters arm slot, creating solid downhill plane and angle to the plate. Fastball worked 71-75 MPH and peaked at 76, pitch shows solid life at the plate as well. Showed good feel for the curveball in the low 60's, pitch has sweeping 2/8 shape with good spin. Mixed and matched his pitches well and understands sequencing, doing a good job keeping hitters off balance. Worked down in the zone consistently. Very good student.
