Duncan O'Boyle is a 2017 C/RHP, MIF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Omaha, NE who attends Bellevue West HS. Medium frame, strong build, clear sign of present strength. Ran a 7.27 60-yard dash. From behind the plate, narrow setup, quick exchange, good footwork, gets direction moving toward target, good carry on throws. From the infield, moves well through the baseball, developing hands, quick transfer and release, solid arm strength on throws across, throws have carry. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a routed stance. Leg lift trigger, good bat speed, quick to the baseball, pop off the bat when barreled up, gets extension, strength in swing, natural lift at the point of contact. From the mound, throws from an over the top arm action, quick arm speed, good lower half drive, repeats delivery well. Generates down hill plane, fastball works down in the zone, natural cut to it, gets on hitters. 11/5 curveball shape, some depth. Excellent student.
