Thomas Grilli is a 2017 SS/ with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Mississauga, ON who attends St. Michael's College. Large frame with a strong, athletic build. Ran a 7.21 sixty-yard dash. Primary shortstop with athletic footwork while ranging to and surrounding the baseball. Clean, fluid glove actions while funneling out front and working through exchange. Generated good momentum to the bag while releasing from a full three-quarters arm action. Topped at 85 miles per hour producing stiff on line carry to the bag. Right handed hitter with an upright, even stance. Aggressively shifts into contact with linear lower half actions. Ball exploded off barrel on a naturally lifted swing plane. Consistent barreled baseball producing very hard, loud contact to all parts of the field throughout batting practice. Showed best barrel skills when staying fluid and balanced throughout swing. Excellent student. Named to the 2017 Spring Top Prospect Showcase-Top Prospect List.
