Sloan Blanscet is a 2016 OF/1B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Poway, CA who attends Poway. Large, well-built frame with good present strength and remaining projection. Ran a 7.07 seconds 60-yard dash. Hits with high hand set, drops hands into load and pulls them backwards towards catcher, has serious strength in swing with good jump off the barrel to go along with good bat speed. Strength is especially evident in hands as they fire through the zone with authority, generating leverage. Projects very well offensively with small mechanical refinements. Projects well defensively as well, showing solid actions through fielding the ball and throwing to target with accuracy. Velocity registered at 84 MPH. Looked good at 1B as well, showing easy footwork around the bag and good athleticism.
