Daniel Vignola is a 2016 LHP/1B with a 6-4 195 lb. frame from Bellmore, NY who attends Holy Trinity Diocesan HS. Tall, strongly built, large, well proportioned frame. Ran a 5.74 40 yard dash. Pitches from an extended three-quarter arm slot from the left side and the ball comes out of his hand very clean. Has a full, loose arm action and a high leg raise in his delivery. Shows good running action to his arm side and fills up the zone with his 79 mph fastball. Gets to both sides of the plate from a low effort delivery. Mixes a 74 mph slider with short cutter like action. Fastball cuts as well. Locates very well and shows a good feel. Also swung the bat, works from an upright setup and has a line drive swing path. Flashes loud pull side contact and impressive strength. Controls the barrel well. Very good student.
