Drew Wayda is a 2017 RHP with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Shreveport, LA who attends C.E. Byrd HS. Big and strong athletic build. Taller delivery with a compact arm action and short arm circle, good direction to the plate, tends to collapse back side and lose plane to the plate, repeats his mechanics well. Mid-70's fastball, topped out at 79 mph early, mostly straight but thrown consistently for strides. Soft curveball with some 11/5 depth on occasion. Very good student.
