Joseph Hobin is a 2016 RHP/UT with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Jupiter, FL who attends Jupiter. Large athletic frame with good build and good room for projection. On the mound, uses a balanced delivery with big leg kick into hip coil, rotates back through well with arm pretty in sync with body. Deceptive delivery as a result. Arm works well, longer action up to high 3/4 slot. FB worked 76-78 with solid life in the zone, also flashed CB with 11/5 shape and good depth in low 60's. Arm projects for more velocity moving forward. Hits with high hand set and toe tap trigger, shifts weight into contact well, line drive plane with lift to pull side, solid bat speed with pull-field approach. Fields well out in front in the OF, gets under the ball, longer arm action with good crow up on accurate throws, topping at 75 MPH.
