2015 Sunshine West Showcase
Justin Kilgore is a 2018 1B/C, 3B, RHP with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Grass Valley, CA who attends Bear River. Kilgore has a large frame with a thicker build. Defensively he fields the ball deep at 1B and showed solid footwork around the bag. Kilgore has developing fielding actions at 1B and on the infield during the drills portion of the showcase. He also worked out at catcher and showed a high set up on his pop throws with developing catch and throw actions. He has developing arm strength up to 74 MPH across the infield. At the plate, Kilgore starts with an open stance and stays open through his swing. He has a rotational swing and has an inside out approach. Kilgore made contact to the opposite field with developing hitting tools. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a shorter arm action. He uses a lower leg lift and his frontside opens early. Very good student.
