Mark Wanner is a 2016 SS/OF with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Rochelle, IL who attends Montverde Academy. Extra-large, athletic frame with long limbs and broad shoulders, lean build with room to fill throughout frame. Ran a 7.12 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, full and easy arm action with clean release out of hand, projectable build, extra step at release, accuracy throws and hands play well at ball. Similar fluid arm action from the outfield, gets on top of throws with extension out front, shows present arm strength. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a tight hand set in the box, slight barrel tilt. Stays short to the ball with swing path and looks to create contact out front. Line drive swing plane, shows ability to handle the barrel and go with the outer half pitch. Simple and repeatable set of mechanics, line drive contact coming off the barrel. Very good student.
