Jake McCoy is a 2015 RHP/OF with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Fort Worth, TX who attends Fort Worth Country Day. Medium, athletic frame with broad shoulders and a mature build with present strength. Primary outfielder, works through the ball well with lower half, fields the ball out front, short arm action in back, does a good job of getting on top of ball with accuracy to intended base. Switch hitter, starts with an upright stance and a low hand set from the right side. Strong hands with a pull side approach and contact, shows a short and compact path to the ball. Starts with an open stance from the left side, small leg lift trigger, pulls front shoulder but gets the barrel through the zone. Very good student.
