Eric Bohnert is a 2017 OF/SS with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Cypress, TX who attends Cypress Ranch HS. Young, athletic frame with a lean, projectable build and room to fill out with added strength. Strong runner, posted a 6.86 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, fields the ball out front with quick actions to the ball, short arm action in the back with some effort at release, accurate and works through the ball. Short arm action with a quick release in the infield, short steps to the ball, accuracy with strength that will continue to develop with incorporation of lower half. Right-handed hitter, starts with an open lower half and gets closed on time. Short swing with a short and quick path. Hands work through swing and generates some lift while using an opposite field approach. Very good student.
