Sam Schaeffer is a 2016 C/IF with a 5-7 155 lb. frame from Chesterfield, MO who attends Parkway Central HS. Shorter compact build, has some present strength. Right handed hitter, crouched stance with a leg lift trigger, big hand load creates barrel length to the ball, aggressive hitter, swings hard and creates some bat speed, hits to all fields with a line drive stroke, can improve with pre-swing adjustments and additional strength. Low set up behind the plate, has some quickness, compact arm action, developing arm strength, 2.10 best pop time. Very good student.
