Christopher Peres is a 2015 RHP/1B with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Burbank, CA who attends John Burroughs HS. Large, athletic build with a lean, projectable frame and room to fill out with added strength. Ran a 7.29 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher who throws from an extended three-quarter arm slot with a full, fluid arm action in the back. Stays tall on back side, steady tempo and balance through delivery, ball comes out easy and clean with low effort. Nice feel for the strike zone, keeps fastball low with life to arm side and induced weak contact, topped at 79 mph. Nice feel for changeup, mimics fastball out of hand with fade to arm side at 73 mph. Good extension out front and can get in on hands of hitters. Short 11-5 curveball at 64 mph that will continue to develop. Also swung the bat well from right side, starts with spread lower half. Nice extension in swing with a long, smooth swing and makes consistent contact. Shows strength and carry off the barrel with ability to lift to opposite field. Nice two-way potential. Very good student.
