Will Boyd is a 2009 RHP with a 5'10'', 170 lb. frame from Brentwood, TN who attends Ravenwood HS. He has a medium athletic body with long arms and some present strength. Boyd has good pitching mechanics that he repeats well and an over the top release point. He shows good command of all his pitches and changes speeds well and pitches to spots. He has an idea with a 72-74 mph fastball that he'll cut at times and pitch to both the inside and outside halves. Boyd's curveball is 63 mph with good 12/6 downer spin/bite. His 68 mph change up is a good pitch, too. Boyd has good feel for pitching and just needs to develop more velocity on his pitches to take the next step. He is a good student.
