Jack Castrop is a 2016 RHP with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Roeland Park, KS who attends Rockhurst HS. Medium young build. Leg raise delivery with a small hip turn, simple mechanics, compact arm action with a 3/4's arm slot, stays tall on his back side well, can improve consistency in release point. Low 70's fastball, topped out at 74 mph, fastball mostly straight. Change up is best pitch and he throws it often, good late fading action with feel for the pitch. Tends to slow arm and delivery on a soft curveball. Throws strikes with all pitches and works to contact.. Should continue to improve with additional strength.
