Brett Wagner is a 2018 SS/RHP with a 5-8 164 lb. frame from Lake Jackson, TX who attends Brazoswood HS. Young athletic build, some present strength for his age. Right handed hitter, straight stance to start, tends to open his front side early and lengthen his swing, good contact on the inside half, tends to reach on the outside half. 7.56 runner, was aggressive on the bases with good jumps. Short quick steps defensively in the infield, gets to the ball well, arm strength developing, can improve footwork for better accuracy. Also pitched, compact arm action, fastball topped out at 73 mph with some sinking action, soft curveball, made adjustments and improved throughout his outing. Good student.
