Matthew Hulke is a 2016 SS with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Argyle, TX who attends Liberty Christian. Large, athletic build with long limbs and a lean, projectable frame with room to fill out with additional strength. Ran a 7.12 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, moves well on feet with short steps to the ball, shows athleticism when charging in, fields with a wide base, full arm action on throws across, shows strength and gets on top of ball well. Right-handed hitter, starts with an open and upright, narrow stance with medium hand set. Leg lift trigger for timing, Upper body swing, shorter path to the ball with some uphill to swing plane. Keeps hands inside the ball, shows ability to hit to all fields and projects with continued strength to frame. Outstanding student.
