Danny Wright is a 2016 SS/2B/OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Dardenne Prairie, MO who attends Ft Zumwalt West HS. Athletic build with projection to add good weight and size to frame. Switch hitter, showed well from both sides of plate. Slightly open stance from both sides, looks a bit more natural and smooth from right side. Quality hands and bat speed, shows natural feel for barrel from both sides of the plate, though it's a bit more stiff/rigid from the left side. Line drive plane from both sides with the ability to spray line drives all over the field, although it's mostly an up-the-middle approach. Pretty short, quick swing from both sides. Worked out in the infield during defensive drills. Showed good arm strength topping at 83 MPH, although the throws were inconsistent in terms of accuracy to target. Shows quick transfer after fielding, upper body and hands work pretty well, footwork is raw at present.
