Bryce Hrovat is a 2007 LHP/OF/1B from Benet Academy in Naperville, IL, with a 6'1'', 170 lb. frame. He is a tall, lean, and projectable left handed with present skills. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a long arm circle on the back side. He repeats his delivery well, and finishes his pitches out front. Hrovat has good tempo on the mound keeping his defensive players alert behind him. He gets running life on his fastball that topped out at 81 mph, and we think he has projectable velocity. Hrovat mixes in a solid 1 to 7 curveball at 64 mph, and a 69 mph changeup with some arm side fade. He has present stuff with good upside on the mound. At the plate he is a left handed hitter with a balanced swing and makes consistently solid contact. He uses his hands well at the plate making adjustments and showing the ability to use the whole field. Defensively he has good actions and moves to the ball well. He also shows his present arm strength from the outfield with good online carry. Hrovat is a two-way prospect, and is an excellent student as well.
