Christoper Spies is a 2008 RHP from Broadneck HS in Arnold, MD with a 6'1", 205 lb. frame. Christopher has a strong developed body for his age. On the mound Christopher throws a tight OH arm slot with a short arm action. Christopher shows a solid 12 to 6 CB, but has a tendency to short arm a lot of pitches. He loses a lot of velocity with his arm action and will be able to throw a lot harder when he gets more extension. Christopher struggles at the plate during the showcase and will need to work on keeping his front side on the ball at the plate. In the outfield Christopher has clean actions but the mound looks like his best bet to play at the next level. He should attract the attention of many smaller colleges.
