Gerlach is an "04" infielder with a lot of ability and tools. He runs close to MLB average and has an athetic strong 6'1/180 body. He shows nice hands, good actions and a strong arm. Probably best profiles at 3B. Best tool is the bat. This kid can hit. LH hitter short to the ball with long finish. Excellent bat speed, the ball jumps off the wood in a hurry. Overall a very good player for the next level who is going to hit in a big way. Big time power potential! Can contribute early at DI level. Bright future! Brent is an excellent student.
