Justin Rumley is a 2016 RHP/SS with a 5-11 145 lb. frame from Granger, TX who attends Taylor HS. Slender young build, lots of room to get stronger. Easy paced directional delivery, compact arm action, tight high 3/4's arm slot with some lean off on release, repeats mechanics well. Steady low 80's fastball, maintained his velocity very well, fastball pretty straight with occasional arm side running action. Threw both a curveball and slider, gets good 12/6 downer shape on his curveball, slider shows depth and sweeping action, will occasionally get between the two pitches. Mixes it up and has an idea how to pitch; should keep improving with additional strength. Right handed hitter, low hand start, short line drive swing, mid to opposite field contact, back side tends to fly off costing him leverage at contact. 7.57 runner, third base tools defensively, has good arm strength with some carry, moves well laterally with good footwork.
