Alexarmando Diaz is a 2017 SS/RHP with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from San Juan, PR who attends Colegio San Ignacio De Loyola. Medium athletic build with good present strength and room for more. Right handed hitter, open stance and tends to stay open in his swing, keeps his hands tight and inside the ball, mid field to opposite field approach despite the direction of his body, swings hard with intent in his swing, would benefit from looking to pull and drive the ball more often and take advantage of his strength and bat speed. Measured actions on defense, has a long and loose arm, tends to look at the ball before throwing it, some carry on his throws, third base actions. Also pitched, drop and drive mechanics with a quick and compact arm action. Fastball topped out at 83 mph with nice sinking and running action, movement created bad swings on his fastball. Tends to get body in front of arm on his curveball, rare change up.
