Blake Crohan is a 2009 C/IF with a 5'11'', 175 lb. frame from Roswell, GA who attends Lassiter HS. Crohan shows arm strength behind the plate with a good quick exchange and release which contributed to his 1.93 pop time. He shows very good hitting ability at the plate and makes hard line drive contact. He squares balls up and drives the ball to all fields. He has easy bat speed and plus timing at the plate. His bat is one to watch in the 2009 class. A good athletic catcher who can hit. He is also an outstanding student.

Hustling catcher, good arm strength, quick feet, 1.90 best pop. Gap to gap power, quick hands, front side hitter from open stance, centers well, hand hitch to start swing. Excellent runner for catcher, 6.88, aggressive baserunner. Good student. He was named to the top prospect team at this event.

Blake Crohan is a 2009 C/UT with a 5'10'', 160 lb. frame from Roswell GA, who attends Lassiter HS. He has a young body with good looseness and athletic quickness. Crohan was named to the showcase Top Prospect Team. Despite taking a game fastball in the mouth on the first day of the showcase and getting 15 stitches, Crohan really impressed us with his bat and by extension, his heart and courage. He has very good bat quickness from a balanced foundation. Crohan's swing is smooth and level and he showed present gap to gap power. Crohan's bat projects well as he starts to fill out his young frame. Defensively, Crohan threw 73 mph with a best pop time of 1.98. He has a quick transfer and loose, athletic actions behind the plate. We liked Crohan's tools and liked his ability to play through adversity. He's a very good follow.
