Braylen Gage is a 2016 OF/IF with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Keller, TX who attends Timber Creek HS. Lean, athletic frame with a quick, projectable build and room to fill out with added strength. Strong runner, posted a 6.86 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, fields the ball out front, gets behind the ball, reaches in back with full arm action, accurate throws from a quick transfer, gathers well at ball. Wide base fielding ground balls in infield, short arm action, some effort at release, accurate throws from multiple arm slots. Right-handed hitter, uses a leg lift trigger for timing at start. Short and aggressive swing with a contact approach. Good knowledge of the strike zone, has moving parts in swing but has feel for barrel and shows consistent contact to middle and opposite parts of field. Outstanding student.
