Barkley "Scooter" Ray is a 2018 C/MIF, OF with a 6-1 173 lb. frame from Chesterfield, VA who attends Manchester. Ray has a long lean build. Hits from a square stance with wide base. Relaxed set up, rocks back to load hands. Aggressive swing, gets weight going forward. Line drive swing plane with good extension, makes consistent contact. Defensively, behind the plate, short arm action, good catch and throw skills. Arm works well. From the OF, loose arm action with low 3/4 release. Accurate throws with carry. Has good actions to ball with solid footwork.
