Andrew Molina is a 2017 C/3B with a 5-6 156 lb. frame from Katy, TX who attends Obra D. Tompkins. Young, athletic frame with a lean, projectable frame and room to fill out. Ran a 7.44 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, shows compact actions behind the plate, short transfer with a quick release, stands tall to throw, accurate throws, arm strength will continue to develop with incorporation of lower half into actions. Switch-hitter, starts with a high hand set and back elbow from the right side. Stays balanced through swing, short path to ball with a feel for the barrel and control of it. Creates lift from the left side, shows bat speed, gets to front side early at times, lets the ball travel well during in game at bats. Good student.
