Christopher "CJ" Friedman is a 2016 2B/RHP/SS with a 6-2 188 lb. frame from Forest Grove, OR who attends Forest Grove HS. Tall and lean athletic build, strong with room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, good shift into contact, swings hard and creates some bat speed, tends to get hands separated early and create length, ball comes off the barrel hard especially when pulling, has some hitting tools to develop. 7.49 runner, piece by piece fundamental fielder, tends to stay back back on the ball, makes accurate under control throws. Also pitched, big side step start with a big leg raise, lands closed for a cross body release, has some deception. Mid-70's fastball looks firmer due to deception. Changes arm action in back and tips curveball but gets good bite at times and throws the pitch for strikes. Flashed a good change up with feel and looked confident on the mound. Outstanding student.
