James Wyche is a 2016 OF/3B with a 5-11 198 lb. frame from Grapevine, TX who attends Grapevine. Medium, athletic build with broad shoulders and nice present strength throughout well proportioned frame. Ran a 7.10 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, takes short and quick steps to the ball, compact arm action through the back, gets on top of throws and generates nice carry, arm strength will continue to develop with more use out of lower half. Right-handed hitter, starts with an upright and narrow stance and an medium hand set. Shows quickness to hands and uses them well in swing, looks to leverage the ball at contact and shows strength coming off to his pull side. Can get to front side early at times but shows bat speed to get the barrel through the zone. Very good student.
