Kelton Evans is a 2016 C with a 6-2 203 lb. frame from McKinney, TX who attends McKinney North HS. Large, athletic build with a broad shouldered frame with present strength throughout build. Ran a 7.69 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, receives the ball out front, full arm action through the back side with a higher slot release, gets on top of throws and shows accuracy down to second while gaining some ground with lower half. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and a high hand set in the box. Uses a small toe tap trigger for timing, shows simple mechanics in the box and repeats them well. Line drive swing plane, lets the ball travel and shows the ability and comfort to hit to all fields. Short swing path to the ball, does a nice job of staying in on the ball, creates steady contact to pull side. Very good student.
