Michael Villalon is a 2016 3B/1B/RHP with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Cypress Creek HS. Has a large frame, lean build, and good present strength and athleticism throughout his body. Primary infielder currently with a big arm that stays loose and generates tons of velocity from both the infield and outfield reaching as high as 88 mph and 91 mph respectively. At the plate, starts with a narrow, open stance and a low hand set. Uses a middle of the field approach at the plate with natural lift through the point of contact, swing stays loose and lower half gets a nice weight shift. On the mound, has good rhythm in his delivery and stays online and directional to the plate. throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with good downhill plane and some arm side run on his fastball. His curveball has good spin and deep depth with 11/5 shape. With how loose his arm and delivery, expect more velocity and a possible future on the mound. Good student.
