Julian Gordon is a 2016 RHP/3B with a 5-7 144 lb. frame from Pensacola, FL who attends Booker T. Washington HS. Shorter young build, lots of room to get stronger. Very good pitching mechanics and delivery, good tempo with a clean arm action and the ability to repeat. Upper 70's fastball, mostly straight with occasional arm side run. Gets tight spin on his curveball with good 11/5 depth on occasion. Nice feel for a low 70's change up with sinking and running life. Pounds the zone with all three pitches and mixes well, mature idea of how to pitch. Right handed hitter, high hand load, big leg raise trigger, front foot tends to get down late, swings down to the ball, mid field ground ball contact. Excellent student.
