William Burgess is a 2017 SS/2B with a 5-8 155 lb. frame from Pottstown, PA who attends Malvern Prep. Burgess has a solid build, hits from a square stance with a toe tap trigger. Smooth hand load into a line drive swing plane. Mid field to opposite field contact with good extension and power. Has simple repeatable swing mechanics. Makes consistent solid contact. Hands work. Defensively, good actions circling ball, has soft hands and a quick release. Throw from all angles with a good first step, has good body control and makes all the plays and throws.
