Delvan Gomez is a 2018 SS/RHP, C with a 5-7 135 lb. frame from Artesia, CA who attends Cerritos. Young, athletic frame with good physical projection remaining on build. Hits from narrow, open stance with large stride into swing. Swings hard and hits to all fields, showing solid bat speed and hand path to go with good, extended finish. Charged hard in the OF with athleticism, good balance, light on feet, accurate and strong arm, topping at 80 MPH. Fielded cleanly in the IF with athleticism, showed good ability to charge and throw on the run accurately, topping at 77 MPH. Side saddle set up behind the plate, has raw actions at present but projects well, quick transfer with solid arm strength, throwing 73 MPH and popping 2.07 seconds. Pitched as well, showed long arm action to high 3/4 slot, pause at balance point, solid arm speed and online delivery. FB worked 75-78 with solid command of pitch. Showed 11/5 CB with projectable depth and spin at 67 MPH.
