Bobby Ballew is a 2017 OF/LHP with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from St. Petersburg, FL who attends Canterbury School Of Florida. Ballew has a medium sized frame with an athletic build. Defensively he attacks the ball in the outfield and he has solid footwork through the baseball. Ballew has solid outfield actions and has clean transfers. He has arm strength up to 81 MPH with a quick release. At the plate, Ballew starts with an open stance with a wide base. He has a hand hitch load and has a shorter path to the baseball. He has some bat speed and has a choppy swing. Ballew has good speed by running a 6.88 sixty and he used it well on the base paths with an aggressive approach. Ballet pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a long arm action. He gets some sink on his fastball and throws a tight 12/6 curveball with shape. Good student.
