Jacob Dauer is a 2016 3B/RHP with a 6-1 210 lb. frame from Georgetown, TX who attends East View HS. Large, athletic build with broad shoulders and present strength throughout frame. Ran a 7.24 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, wide base fielding and funnels the ball out front, full arm action through the back side, taller at release but shows strength and carry across the diamond on accurate throws. Also pitched, showed a consistent arm action through the backside with a mid three-quarter release. Remains tall on backside, occasionally gets across body at release. Topped out at 76 mph with fastball and showed a sweeping slider at 65 mph. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and a high hand set. Upper body swing, uses strength well to generate bat speed through the zone. Loads weight on backside and shows balance in stance, full swing and gets the barrel through the zone, shows strength off the barrel to opposite field. Good student.
