Steve Mann is a 2017 OF/ with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Farmington Hills, MI who attends Detroit Country Day Upper. Medium frame with broad shoulders and impressive physicality, present strength, and athleticism. Long-strider with plus footspeed, ran a 6.65 60-yard dash. Moves well in the outfield, can get a bit out of control at times but shows good arm strength, throws have natural carry when on top of baseball. Right handed hitter, toe-tap timing trigger with active front foot. Slightly uphill plane, maintains good path to ball and barrel gets through zone very quickly, good carry off of the bat when squared. Strength and bat speed make for big power potential, especially with more consistent lower-half use. Outstanding student. Verbal commitment to Duke. Named to Showcase Top Prospect Team.
