Dayton Brune is a 2018 3B/RHP with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Greenville, SC who attends Wade Hampton HS. Ran a 7.03 60-yard dash. Athletic frame with quick twitch and present physicality. Loose and athletic actions in the infield with a clean gather and pickup. Showed lateral quickness and very good arm strength; up to 87 mph across the diamond. Graded out best on the mound with a long arm action. Threw from a three-quarter arm slot and showed three pitches for strikes. Big breaking curveball and a changeup that showed quality downward fade. Very loose swing at the plate and generates good extension through contact. Showed good bat speed and shifts well into contact. Power played well especially to the pull side. Named to the 2017 Sunshine Southeast Showcase Top Prospect Team. Outstanding student.
