Brett O'Connor is a 2017 RHP with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Saddle River, NJ who attends Don Bosco Prep. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and room to fill throughout moving forward physically. Primary righthanded pitcher, begins delivery with a leg raise up to belt, lands slightly open with strike foot and will drift towards first base side at times but shows ability to get on top of the ball well. Clean takeaway into a full and clean arm action with an over the top release point. Consistent cut action to four-seam, up to 78 mph and showed nice running life on two-seamer. Worked down in zone with both fastballs, projects for more with additional lower half. Feel for curveball developed well, shows 12-6 shape with depth when on top at 64 mph. Got the pitch down in zone well. Excellent student.
