Brandon Rodriguez is a 2017 2B/SS with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Ridgefield Park, NJ who attends Ridgefield Park Senior High School. Lean, athletic frame with square shoulders and room to fill with additional strength moving froward. Ran a 7.42 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, shows nice flair to actions with short and quick footwork, moves well on the charge, moves to the ball well and gains momentum, fields the ball out front, short and compact arm action, shows accuracy to the bag with arm strength that will continue to develop. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high back elbow in the box. Contact approach, direct path to the ball with a short and inside swing plane through the zone. Shows sound lower half mechanics, line drive swing plane and creates line drive contact to the middle of the field, will flash lift to path at times, bat speed will continue to develop with physical strength.
