Chris Patten is a 2016 OF/2B with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Pilot Point, TX who attends Pilot Point HS. Medium, athletic build with a high waist, lean and projectable frame with room to fill out with added strength. Ran a 6.98 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves well on his feet and shows range, fields the ball out front, short arm action through the back, accuracy on throws, will continue to develop carry with incorporation of lower half into release. Quick transfer in the infield, longer release, moves well charging, accurate throws with a short arm action across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, starts with a high hand set and back elbow and wide base. Upper body swing, stays balanced through swing with an aggressive approach at the plate. Full swing coming through the zone, creates lift at contact and gets barrel to it, generates consistent contact to pull side. Good student.
